If your laptop has a vga out (most do) then you can use a standard vga cable (so long as your tv has vga in) or if your lapotop has s-video out and your tv an in then you can use the s-video cable. if your tv does not have either vga or s-video in then you can use a s-video cable from the laptop into a scart adapter with s-video in
