Any way to install windows on laptop hard drive?

When the laptop cd doesnt work, i dont have floppy disk drive and also cant boot from usb.
Answer
Yes i had to do this to install windows on an old laptop with new hdd and only an external cd reader which needed windows and a driver just to be usable. it was a bit of a pain but ...on another computer with cd drive and usb port, first get an external caddy ( cheap) and connect the new drive in caddy to the usb. format the new hdd to at least 2 partitions allowing at least 5 gb in the last partition (not the first partition which will later become c drive on your laptop). then painstakingly in dos, copy all installation files from the cd into the new partition - this k me about a day.then when you put the new hdd back into your laptop you can install windows from the last partition of the hdd itself and it will automatically install windows into c drive - the first partition on the hdd.alternatively, "borrow" another laptop of same make which does have a cd drive and temporarily install the new hdd into the laptop and let that machine install windows onto the hdd. then just put the new hdd into your laptop and replace the original into the borrowed laptop.a further alternative again using another computer is to ghost copy a working windows installation onto the new hdd and then just put the hdd into your laptop.happy fiddling.
