Somebody know how i can format my laptop hard drive even without a fdd?
I wanna
try ubuntu on my laptop but i need to format the hard drive first

If you have a cd or dvd drive you can use fdisk on any windows installation cd/dvd (win 95 onwards) by pressing a key to boot up cd when prompted leaving the setup process and typing fdisk.depending on the linux installation disk you have there will probably be a similar combloked useable via prompt.
