Halifax bank account question (internet banking / transfers)?

Hi, ive opened a regular saver account with halifax, however when i click on this option in my internet banking it states "enquiry only service". i phoned halifax who said the account is open, and i can make transfers to it. the last time i transferred from natwest to halifax my account said enquiry only service, i was told the money would go in, guess what. it didnt and was returned as the account wasnt properly opened. ive just spoke to halifax who said i can transfer money to it and enquiry only service means i cannot do things with the account online, but it is infact open. has anyone any experience of this, will the money still go in the account even when it says enquiry only service? thanks people! to second answer, the website is not down, and god knows who told you this at halifax, just shows how good their customer service is to tell you its down and wont be working until wednesday. its up, working fine, and ok. my problem is with the enquiry only service on my account, can somebody with experience of this problem answer plz . thanks
Answer
If you are referring to the regular saver account paying 7%, maximum £250 amonth-the first payment can be by cheque /transfer but all subsequent payments must be by internal or external standing order. the account can be viewed online but that is all; it is a telephone account and all queries etc. are done that way.
