paid off my credit card with cash at the bank (same bank as the credit card) was told it would take four days to "clear". i paid with cash to avoid this clearing anybody know why we have to put up with this level of service from our banks? and why does it take so long to clear cash?thanks redneckjoebob, i had a look on my statement and i could have saved a day by paying online, but it still takes three working days. This annoys me too, with computer systems in place it should not be taking so long to clear. but look at it this way, if the banks did not make money this way they would have to increase their charges. banks never loose.
