Answer
Hi zara the main problem with lcd over tft screens is they are fragile ,however the lcd screens have a better visual reproduction the problem with your screen looks like the screen has cracked and some of the solution thats in a lcd screen(remember lcd means luquid crystal display)has leaked and this is whats causing the problem two options open to you.................... 1)all laptops have a vga-out socket at the back of the laptop, using this you can use a cheap ldc/tft monitor, infact you could even use a c.r.t monitor,at least you would have a working display 2)contact a laptop/pc screen repair center such as trafalgar electronics at http://www.trafalgarelectronics.co.uk/,they can repair your screen, however be warned, fixing a laptop screen is a expensive repair and its sometimes costs as much as a new laptop,so shop around nice luck zara !
