Laptop memory question?
Im just about to replace my laptop memory as it is deathly slow, ordered 1gig of memory, so ill be taking the old memory module out, do i need to save my files ie pictures/music beforehand?

backup the files incase something happens while you are upgrading, but the information is stored on the hard drive so with a successful upgrade there would be no change to the data that is stored on the hard drive, it is only in the case that something goes wrong with the upgrade there may be a small chance that the data could be lost, it would also be impossible for any data loss but there is still that small chance
