I wish to buy a laptop around 50k. i am an chemical engg and what configuration do i need. and what r available in the market. pls let me know about the diff product reviews in terms of cost,performance , weight, safety and service( i am in india(gujarat))

In india if u are talking about indian brand hcl is the answer
laptop cost would be around 35000 to 40000 rs
config: 1 gb ram,120 gb harddisk , intel core2duo
it is best u can get and it solves of your reqs
u can also go for "compaq"
it costs around 45000to 50000 and the config :
intel dual core 1gb ram 160 gb hd
