I really want to remortgage. why can`t i borrow from the bank of england at base rate ?
If they only lend to banks and the government, does that make it a monopoly? i thought that was illegal..........

You can borrow from the bank of england if you have an account with them at threadneedle street, however to have an account there you have to have about £250,000 at all times in your current account (and do not get any interest).so simple just go up to the city of london, go to threadneedle street and go up to a cashier in the bank and hand over 50,000 £5 notes or 25,000 £10 notes etc. see about getting a remortgage.talk about the rich getting richer!
