The main letters come from a company called global escrow services. they have invariably offered me amounts from £6,000 down to £1,519.00. now my common sense tells me these are 100% genuine scams. if people could let me know if they have come across anything similar then it would be nice to cross reference and to check whether these kind of shady operations can be stopped, otherwise it will cost people quite a lot of money in administration costs to discover whether or not they have a couple of thousand pound coming to them. are these classical mail shots? if so they must be making a lot of money out of unwary people?

You should report these to your local trading standards who will pass them on to the appropriate department which is dealing with this type of scam. then register with the mailing preference service which should stop 90% of junk mail coming to you.
