I am wanting to go to australia over christmas and new year for about three weeks with my husband.we would like a stop over for one or two nights in asia somewhere. i have had a quick look on the internet but the flights seem really expensive. has somebody got any experience and know any nice websites? will the flights get cheaper nearer the time or will we just have to stump up about £1200 each?

Also go to a few travel agents.i was on the internet a couple of months ago to buy flights from australia to ireland return.i was gobsmacked at the prices.i found it way cheaper to buy my tickets through a travel agent.
