Do you think the media blames the entertainment industry (eg. video games) for high school massacres?

Do you think that the media blames entertainment industry- namely video games and music with violent lyrical content as well as violent films?
Answer
Yes, and i think they are right to. children learn from what they see. there was a study done in the fifties or sixties i think by someone called bandura. its called the bobo doll experiment. it involved children watching a video of another child being violent and abusive to a bobo doll. the children where split into groups where the ending of the video changed, one ending was where the child was punished for acting that way and another was where the child wasnt. the children where then placed in another room with toys including a bobo doll and each and every child mimiked the behaviour they had seen on the video regardless of the ending. if they are in a violent environment which includes exposure to games of this nature then they will become violent.
