Can anyone explain why a 1c ryanair flight only has €9.99 taxes but a flight from the same place, to the same place, on the same day of the week only a week later costing €19.99 have taxes of €19.36. i can understand the variation in prices of flights but surely the taxes should be the same, no?

Taxes are based on not only fixed things like departure taxes, but also on the cost of the ticket (sales taxes), thus the difference.
