Is crete still one of the top holiday destinations of europe?
Has it been overtaken by lesser known, lesser explored resorts?

I went to crete for the first time in september and i think its lovely.the cretian people are nice, the climate suits me great, and the value for money can not be beaten.i would reccomend it any time to someone, no matter their age gender or lifestyle.
