I`m trying to put a date on a type of cottage which is common around ireland and are sometimes known as "labours cottages".they normaly have an open common room which can be split up into three rooms and a bedroom behind the fire place.this other room also has a fire place.all rooms had an earth floor which later had a raised timber or conc. floor put in place.
