Where in north cornwall do people recommend for a cottage holiday
?
give some town names and if anyone can recommend any cottages then do provide details.
Answer
The area around tintagel, boscastle and bude is extremely beautiful, rugged, but beautiful. bude has a lovely sandy beach and there is plenty to see and do around there.however, the atlantic ocean washes the beaches on the north coast and the waves can be huge and cold and the winds are strong.the south coast near fowey, looe, polperro etc is much more scenic and gentle. the sea is flatter and the days are calmer and warmer. the cornish tourist board have a website and should be able to help with booking cottages etc. many cottages are still owned by individual people, but are let out through agencies.they can be a bit pricey £600 for a week in mid may and over £1000 in august. but many cottages sleep more than four so taking a group and spreading the cost will make it easier on the pocket.happy hols!!
