I am currently on a work permit and worked for this company only for 2 months now. but due to some reasons i would like to quit this job asap and find myself another job. do i hv to leave the country as soon as i leave this job and my work permit is cancelled or will i be given a grace period for some time to find another job. please advice...any suggestions in this regard are highly appreciated..

You need to check with the immigration office. you run the risk of being deported if you just up and quit your job.
