I asked a few hours ago about how to speed up my internet as it is so slow at loading pages even though i am connected and have excellent strength, the advise that i would like to follow suggests that i try using pc pitstop to do a health check and possibly repair any damage that my laptop may have if any at all, the thing i am not sure about is that it asks me to disable any background applications like firewalls etc, i have mcafee security centre antivirus softwear installed, my questions are (a) is it safe to disable my mcafee antivirus software to run the pc pitstop and (b) will i have to totally uninstall the mcafee software, or (c) is there some sort of way of temporarilly disabling the mcafee software...thanks to all for any help ??

Yes diable it, install your new software then reboot your system. nice luck
