Do i get charged by the credit card company if i dont use the card?
I was going to get a credit card for emergencies only...i would not normally use it. what i wanna
know is would the credit card company charge me for just having the card, even if i dont use it?

No they dont, i have exactly what you refer to, i just keep getting bills saying your minimum payment is not due yet.
