Which statistical test?

A group of 2000 people from the same town all currently use hot air balloons to get to work. 2 years ago, only 800 of them used hot air balloons, while 500 used pogo sticks, 400 rode llamas and the remaining 300 used other methods (mainly skis, skateboards and submarines). i really want to find out whether this shift to hot air balloons was affected by the new discount air balloon shop in the town or whether it could have happened by chance. what statistical test can i use?
Answer
Try a single-ended t-test.
